BioPhotas Announces Celluma RESTORE for Hair Loss

BioPhotas announces the new addition to their Celluma light therapy device line, Celluma RESTORE, for the treatment of hair loss, aging skin, and general pain.

BioPhotas, Inc, a therapeutic light therapy device company, today announced a new line extension to the Celluma SERIES of LED devices, called Celluma RESTORE.

This device, according to the company, is the first FDA cleared LED device for over the counter (OTC) treatment of hair loss, aging skin, and general pain conditions.1

“It's great to add a hair restoration indication-for-use to our long list of treatment clearances from the FDA,” says Patrick Johnson, president and CEO of BioPhotas, Santa Ana, California. “Providing a single device that treats whole body aches and pains, fine lines and wrinkles, and hair loss on the scalp is the ultimate baby-boomer anti-aging device. Now the mature individual interested in feeling and looking great, and retaining their youthful appearance, can have a device at home that meets all of their rejuvenating needs.”

Celluma RESTORE is nontoxic, noninvasive, and painless and can be used at home or in a clinical setting. It can be used anywhere on the body, measuring 16” x 8” with a 14” x 6” treatment area. The devices patented design makes placement over the head easy and effective when delivering light energy to promote hair regrowth.

According to Johnson, BioPhotas anticipates RESTORE being available in the United States by mid-August. The device is also up for Medical Device Regulation (MDR) Technical File review in late summer and should be available in the European Union and United Kingdom by the fourth quarter.
