Brisbane, Calif. - Cutera has announced that Canadian regulatory agency Health Canada has approved the company’s Excel V laser for vascular, pigment and overall skin-rejuvenation treatments, Globe Newswire reports.
The Excel V system features a dual wavelength platform. One handpiece includes a 532 nm laser for superficial vessels and pigments, and a 1,064 nm Nd:YAG laser to treat leg veins, port wine stains and hemangiomas. The second handpiece, for facial rejuvenation, affords a collagen-producing solution for fine lines, uneven texture and premature aging.
The Excel V also features ergonomic handpieces, a solid-state design and a sapphire window with real-time calibration and spot size adjustment, enabling the precise targeting of lesions, the company states.
