Centocor Ortho now Janssen Biotech

Horsham, Pa. - Centocor Ortho Biotech, based here, has changed its name to Janssen Biotech.

A company statement notes that the change is part of a global effort to unite the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies around the world under a common identity. The release quotes Janssen Biotech President Robert Bazemore as saying, “Our new name will not change our products, services, solutions or the valued relationships we have with our customers. Uniting together under a common identity will allow us to operate more effectively and efficiently with the same passion and commitment that has led us to the forefront of patient care in our therapeutic areas.”

Beyond the new name and logo, there will be no changes in the company’s legal structure, the statement notes.
