The 2019 Dermatology Hall of Fame Executive Board was appointed by the founding committee to serve an inaugural term. Members were considered individually to bring together a broad perspective of the specialty. The 2019 Executive Board embodies the mission of the Dermatology Hall of Fame through their research interests, level of achievement or their practice.

The Dermatology Hall of Fame Executive Board appointments were based on the following considerations:

• expertise in unique areas of specialty;

• well-regarded by colleagues through industry awards and recognition;

• committed to peer development through teaching, lectureship and society involvement;

• contribution to advancing care for dermatology patients;

• strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity;

• willing to commit to the nomination process.

The role of the Board is to collaboratively suggest nominees for induction into the Dermatology Hall of Fame based on the nominees’ achievements in or contributions to the field of dermatology.
