Dermatology Times adds new member to Editorial Advisory Council

Author(s):

Dermatology Times welcomes Albert C. Yan, M.D., as the newest member to its Editorial Advisory Council. Dr. Yan is the chief of pediatric dermatology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where he is also an associate professor of pediatrics and dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

As a pediatric dermatologist, Dr. Yan focuses on technologies that facilitate the diagnosis of skin disease, as well as those that improve outcomes, in children. He has participated as a researcher in investigations of such technologies.

"I am excited to share my interests in pediatric dermatology and information technology with the broader community of practicing dermatologists," he says. "I'm especially excited about noninvasive technologies, including computer-assisted diagnostic methods."

"We are fortunate to live in a time of rapid technological innovation," Dr. Yan says. "New applications and devices become available on a daily basis."

As a member of the Editorial Advisory Council, Dr. Yan says he will be committed to keeping the community of practicing dermatologists "abreast of the most exciting innovations relevant to dermatologists."
