La Roche accepts submissions for annual research awards

New York - La Roche-Posay has issued a call for submission of abstracts for the La Roche-Posay North American Foundation’s 2011 Research Awards.

According to a company statement, submissions should include a one-page abstract; a maximum of 10 pages for research plan and budget; applicant’s curriculum vitae; and letter of support from a mentor or chief of dermatology.

Next year’s grants include two $10,000 awards for research by dermatology residents, fellows and new dermatologists in practice for up to two years.

Proposals should be sent in duplicate and postmarked by Dec. 1, 2010, to: Secretariat General of the Foundation, La Roche-Posay Laboratoire Dermatologique, 575 Fifth Ave., 20th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10017. Submissions should be addressed to the attention of Jen Mendenhall. Abstracts will be evaluated by members of the La Roche-Posay North American Scientific Committee. Winners will be announced in February at the 2011 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology in New Orleans.
