Dermatology Times recently ran a poll asking which specialties physicians have referred patients to in order to ensure they receive multidisciplinary care, and the resounding answer was rheumatology.1 Mona Shahriari, MD, FAAD, shared her pearls on the subject, including collaborative care, early intervention, and telemedicine in a Q&A interview with Dermatology Times.
Shahriari is an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the Yale University School of Medicine, the associate director of clinical trials at CCD Research, and a Dermatology Times Editorial Advisory Board member. She also serves her local dermatology community as president of the Connecticut Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.
