David Laub, MD: Hi I'm Dr. David Laub. I'm a dermatologist in Mill Valley, California, who practices both medical dermatology as well as cosmetic dermatology. Maui Derm was something that was thought of roughly around 25 years ago. It was a thought that originated from conversations with George Martin, myself, and several others, where we found that the field was changing, and that there was a need to provide education not only on the medical side of dermatology, but also on the aesthetic side of dermatology. Because our goal is to be able to hybrid the education so that people who understand the medical side could learn how to interact with patients to be able to expose them to the aesthetic side, as well as those who do aesthetic medicine, to be able to refresh in their knowledge in some of the science behind the medical dermatology side so they can be most effective and doing their work in the aesthetic world.
